Bible Reading Plan

Bible Reading Plan

This simple 31-day Bible reading plan is designed for anyone who is new to the Bible or looking to renew their faith. It introduces key moments in Scripture that help you understand God, humanity, Jesus, and the Gospel without feeling overwhelming.

If you don’t currently own a Bible, you can read Scripture using free Bible apps (like Olive Tree*) on your mobile device or trusted websites from your computer. The translation you choose matters less than simply beginning.

If you’re interested in buying a physical Bible, but you’re unsure which Bible or translation to use, we’ve put together a helpful guide on the benefits of reading a physical Bible to help you get started with confidence.

How To Use This Bible Reading Plan

If you’ve never read the Bible before, the passages below are listed using a Book/Chapter/Verse format. For instance, the reading for Day 8 is located in the book of 1st Samuel (there is also a 2nd Samuel) in Chapter 8 and consists of verses 1 through 22. If you want to read online, we have linked to each passage on the BibleGateway.com* website to make it easy for you.

What to do if you miss a day?

If you miss a day, don’t be discouraged. And don’t give up. This reading plan isn’t about perfection or keeping a streak; it’s about growing in your relationship with God.

You have a few simple options:

  • Pick up where you left off and keep going.
  • Double up on a day if you have extra time.
  • Slow the plan down and take more than 31 days if needed.

The most important thing is consistency, not speed. God is more interested in your heart than in you checking off every box. Keep showing up, keep reading, and trust that God will meet you there.
